Denture Care
Cleaning Dentures
Keeping your dentures clean can help keep the inside of your mouth healthy. Your dentures have been hand crafted using high quality materials and it is extremely important that you look after them properly. Using a soft denture brush and luke warm water is the most effective and safe method to clean your dentures. If you clean your dentures twice a day, this will probably keep your dentures clean and free from damage. If there are persistent accumulations and/or stains that are difficult to remove, overnight immersion using a denture cleanser is recommended. If the stains persist, please contact us for advice. We offer a denture cleaning service, so we can usually get rid of persistent stains on dentures.

Handling and storing dentures
When you're not wearing your dentures, we recommend you store them in a protective container like a denture box and leave them soaking in cold water. When removing your dentures, it's advisable to do this either over a towel or over a basin with cold water in it. This is in case you drop your dentures and the towel or water will act as a cushion and your dentures are less likely to break.
Always handle your dentures with care to reduce the possibility of breaking them.
Specifically fabricated for your mouth
Your denture has been specially fabricated for your mouth. Your denture will retain its shape, while your mouth will undergo certain changes over the months and years. This may mean over time your dentures become looser, the denture teeth can become worn and this all means you may loose the correct facial you need to help prevent the signs of ageing. if this is the case, please contact us for your free denture consultation, we may be able to help.
If you encounter discomfort, do not try to resolve the problem yourself, as you may damage your dentures as well as harm your teeth and gums. Use any denture adhesives only according to the manufacturers’ instructions. Please contact us if you have any queries or concerns.
