Denture Advice

Dentures can become damaged if placed in very hot water.

If you use super glue or attempt to repair your dentures yourself, you might cause further damage and make your denture impossible to repair and uncomfortable for you to wear.

Dentures can change shape if they dry out. When you're not wearing your dentures, please cover or soak your dentures in water.

Dentures should be brushed inside and outside twice a day with a soft bristled brush with round-ended bristles.

Denture Information

To reduce the changes of breaking your dentures, we recommend when you're cleaning your them hold your dentures over a full basin of water. If you drop your dentures, then the fall will be cushioned by the water and they won't break.

Some medications can affect the fit of your dentures and their wearability.

Use denture creams instead of toothpastes, as regular toothpaste are too abrasive and will micro scratch your denture. Rinse with cold water.

Your mouth is constantly changing. Inspect your denture regularly for worn teeth.

If your dentures need adjusting, please do not attempt to adjust your dentures yourself.  Contact us and we can adjust your dentures for you.
